Master Measuring System

Master Measuring System

Mobile Master Measuring Skid for Proving of Single-phase Liquid Hydrocarbons
- Single-phase mobile reference meter based on KROHNE Coriolis mass flow meter
- Premium meter calibration according API MPMS 4.5 on UKAS ISO 170250 accredited calibration rig
- Reference meter based on Indirect master meter proving method defined in API MPMS 4.5
- Compact, mobile system easy accessible to any meter under test

Background

A state-of-the-art, compact master meter based on Coriolis mass flow meter to prove existing metering systems on various installations through entire production process, from upstream, production to downstream.

 Measurement requirements

Single metering system for proving metering systems in 40 – 400 t/h range
  • - Measuring systems on pipelines (class 0,3)
  • - Measuring systems on tank trucks (class 0,5)
  • - Measuring systems for delivery in tank-trucks, rail-tanks, barges (class 0.5)
  • - Measuring systems for the supply of liquefied petroleum gas (class 1.0)

Main request, beside the above listed requirements, was to fulfill requirements from API MPMS 4.5, using master meter on multiple operating rates, preparing Master meter curve (MMF) for various flow rates achieving the required uncertainty. In order to establish required MMF, calibration of Master meter should result uncertainty of 0,029% or better at a 95% confidence level.

Solution from WIG

To achieve required uncertainty in requested flow range, we in WIG decided to use KROHNE mass flow meter, model OPTIMASS 2000 S150 with premium calibration.

Additionally, for completion of the project the following high accuracy transmitters were used:
- Pressure transmitter
- Temperature transmitter
- Density meter L-Dens 417T Ex, Anton Paar

OUR MAIN ACTIVITIES

Our confidence and wide range of options are the result of support and cooperation we have been cultivating for more than 20 years with our Principals and Partners.

We also promote products and represent our principal's interests with an accent to provide comprehensive customers support in instrumentation selection and application, consulting, distribution of products and systems created by our principals and partners. After that stage, we take care of long term genuine spare parts supply and provision of technical documentation and manuals, software tools for operating and maintenance and many other customer related aspects.

Our automation & control solutions range from conceptual design to start-up and commissioning and include control system configuration & integration, safety control systems, remote instrument enclosures (RIEs) & panels enclosure and panels design and traditional automation & control services combined with advanced applications offerings and field construction services

WIG offers an independent approach to vendor selection and application.

Our vendor-independent approach allows us to objectively assist in the selection process of the major controls in order to maximize operating efficiency and productivity. Also, as an engineering company, we have the internal knowledge and resources necessary to offer our clients turnkey solutions, from concept to commissioning and startup. Our extensive project management experience, paired with a structured implementation approach and early involvement in the project, can significantly reduce rework and associated costs later in the project.

WIG is one of the leading providers, in this part of Europe, of automation & control services, including system engineering, specification, integration and implementation.

Experience matters. We have built a reputation for innovation, quality and value through skillfully engineered automation & control systems to the upstream oil & gas as well as, water&wastewater, food and beverages and refining and chemical industries. We deliver projects to customers schedule, managing multiple and diverse technologies, automation, maintenance and business system integration and lifecycle costs.

IIoT data loggers for remote data services on solar power stations represents a modern and efficient approach to optimizing the operation of energy systems.

IIoT devices, such as temperature, light intensity, voltage, and current sensors, can be installed on various components of a solar power station, including solar panels, inverters, and energy storage systems. These devices collect real-time data on the station's operation and transmit it to a central server via a communication network, such as 4G/5G or Wi-Fi.

The collected data can be analyzed using machine learning algorithms and analytical methods to detect anomalies, optimize equipment operation, forecast energy production, and achieve other objectives. For example, data analysis can help determine the optimal time for equipment maintenance or prevent potential failures.

The advantages of using IIoT for solar power stations include increased operational efficiency, reduced operational costs, rapid problem diagnosis and resolution, as well as the ability for remote monitoring and management. However, implementing such systems requires a comprehensive approach to design, installation, and maintenance, as well as ensuring data security and protection.
